His roommates are completely unaware of his condition and just leave him to his devices even though he refuses to ever accompany them on trips and outings. When a 2nd pandemic occurs they all hunker down to ride out the lockdown. But when news comes out that the mortality rate is 39%, they all decide to leave and take refuge in a remote cabin.
